Los Altos is a town of oak trees and generous lots, and both matter for exterior cleaning work.

The oaks. Mature valley oaks and live oaks shade most of Los Altos, and they drop tannin-rich leaf litter that stains concrete, clogs gutters, and builds up on shake roofs. Oak tannin looks permanent — brown-black streaks on driveways and walkways — but it lifts with the right oxygen-based pretreatment followed by a proper-pressure rinse. Gutter cleaning twice a year (fall and late winter) is standard in Los Altos because of the leaf load.

Mid-century architecture. A significant portion of Los Altos homes are Eichler-era or mid-century ranch — flat roofs, big glass, single-story horizontal lines. These houses have wood siding or painted board-and-batten that will strip under high pressure. We soft-wash exclusively on these surfaces, with low PSI and a biodegradable mildew killer that does the work without stripping paint.

Mature landscaping protection. Los Altos yards are usually mature, often featuring heritage rose gardens, established plantings, and irrigation systems. Before any wash job we cover sensitive plantings, rinse foundation plantings down first, and coordinate around sprinkler controllers. It's how you work a Los Altos property without leaving evidence.
